Montour JV Team Bows To Mt Lebo 5-1

Our Montour JV Spartan Hockey Team took one on the chin against the always tough Mount Lebanon Blue Devils on Monday night and will try to regroup for their next opponent the Big Macs of Canon McMillan.
Our Spartans were never really in this one from the start. Mt Lebo rattled off 4 first period goals that set the Spartans back on their heels and they never recovered. The lone bright spot was a goal by Sasha Bittner as he took passes in his defensive zone from Adam Jaworski and Bryan Boyle and raced past all five Blue Devils to bury the puck past Lebo goaltender Michael D'Orazio to make the score 4-1 at 6:34 of the second period.
Mt. Lebo would drive the final nail in at 6:51 of the third period to seal the 5-1 victory. Our Spartans were the victims of two power play goals and were outshot 32 to 18. With just 3 games remaining in the season our Spartans are posting a record of 6 wins 6 loses and 3 ties. The goal is to end the season with a winning record. Let's get out and support the boys in their quest to end the season on a positive note.
